Places to Stay: The Mediterranean Inn - Seattle, WA

Last weekend, Jared and I took a trip to Seattle, Washington to see the Key Arena production of Stars On Ice's "Dancing for Joy". We were looking around for hotel choices and were able to land a sweet LivingSocial deal for our #1 choice: the Mediterranean Inn! The Inn is very comfy and very YELLOW. It offers a full parking garage to visitors below the building, as well as a relaxing deck on the rooftop with spacious views of the Space Needle. *Big plus for coffee lovers: Starbucks is located from within the lobby. The single Queen-sized bedroom is complete with HD TV, windowsill lounge, sitting area (two chairs), kitchenette and workspace desk.

Because we had to be at the Key Arena by 7PM our first night, the location was incredibly convenient for us--the Inn was four blocks (give or take) from the show! It was a fast walk to the event as well as a safe walk returning around 10 o'clock at night. In addition, many other show attendees stayed at the Inn, which certainly helps with the safety factor of the walk "home".

I can think of two highlights from our experience: when we arrived early for check-in, the front desk gave us a card with their cell phone number and encouraged us to text when we were close to finishing our sight-seeing and ready for our room. During our stay, we had a slightly embarrassing toilet clogging issue (hey, it happens, right?) and the front desk employee who helped us was very understanding and kind. This excellent customer service combined with the Inn's unique attributes will absolutely have us coming back for more during our next Seattle stay.
