If you've been on Instagram or Facebook on the last few months, you've probably seen a new trend of "soothing" videos. People cutting into kinetic sand or playing with slime. These videos are racking up the views and are total #aestheticgoals to watch and listen to. Slime recipes are where it's all at!
YouTube is also a huge outlet for this slime trend. I've been absolutely ADDICTED to watching people make slime and I love when they put things like rubber bands or sparkles to give the slime texture! My favorite person right now who does slime is Karina Garcia on YouTube. She has plenty of fun kinetic DIYs that are easy to do. I love my slime for my anxiety, personally - it's really soothing to work with and focus on. It's also a great party craft or fun for babysitting.
You can save your slime creations in containers or plastic bags. There are several types of slime with several different ways of making it. Slime usually has a base of school glue and needs an "activator" to make it not sticky and give it the slimy consistency. This can usually be borax, contact lens solution or fabric softener. Each recipe is different and can make many different "types" of slime. Here's some of my favorite slime recipes:
