I've done other budget travel posts before (my last was London on a dime) and I'm back at it again to show you some hacks for exploring another city I am in love with! Here is A City on a Dime: Paris, France. Paris, here we come!
If you're planning a trip to Paris, it can rack up price-wise pretty quickly. Especially the closer you get to the central area, the pricier it gets!
The last time I was in Paris was October 2015 with two really close friends! We were on a tight budget, so we wanted to sight-see as cheaply as possible.
Here's my favorite things to do in Paris on a dime!
STROLL ALONG THE SEINE
Take a meandering walk down the beloved Seine! Take in the scenic view, as you can follow the river to many beautiful attractions.
NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL
Harness your inner Disney and visit the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral, an iconic and breath-taking sight to see in France. General entrance is free of charge, but entrance to the towers requires an admission fee.
PARC DU CHAMP DE MARS
A beautiful length of greenery running southeast from the Eiffel Tower, this is the best spot to see the twinkling lights of the tower at dusk. Bring a baguette and a blanket, and settle in for this 10 minute dazzling display!
BASILIQUE DU SACRE COEUR
This beautiful church of white marble stands atop one of the best viewpoints in Paris. It's free to enter the main area, with beautiful stained glass windows and gorgeous mosaics.
THE LOVE WALL
Located in Montmartre, this wall is the perfect selfie opportunity! This beautiful mosaic captures the true essence of the city of love with "I Love You" written in hundreds of languages.
SQUARE DU VERT GALANT PARK
If you want to feel truly Parisian, make your way over to this little island park on the Seine. Bring a bottle of wine and enjoy the view of the boats as they go by!
Feel like a true Paris fashionista with a weekly free fashion show at Galeries Lafayette every Friday!
What would you do on this list? What are you planning for YOUR next trip!?
