City on a Dime is one of my favorite series to do, I swear you guys! I frequent a lot of the same places on layovers for work and I never want to spend that much money, but who does, am I right? Today is A City on a Dime: San Francisco, California!
San Francisco is one of those places I layover in a lot for work. I also have a friend that lives nearby so I try to stay there when I can! It’s a beautiful city known for its scenery and delicious food, but it’s also known for how expensive it is ;-) I try to save money, but I also love to live my best life. Sometimes sightseeing can get out of hand in the cash department! Stick with me sis, let’s navigate the Golden Gate City and stay as cheap as possible!
Golden Gate Park
20% larger than Central Park in NYC, this park has a music concourse area, gorgeous walkways and is free to enter.
This reminds me of Pike Place Market in Seattle! It's one of the busiest tourist areas filled with seafood restaurants, souvenir shops, a marketplace and plenty of chowder!
Pier 39 encompasses the total vision of a vintage boardwalk from a movie. There’s an aquarium, street performers, plenty of food and a two story carousel! Spend money if you want, or people watch and bring a picnic basket.
An old U.S. army airfield now a national park! This urban set park has a perfect view of the Golden Gate Bridge for some great selfies.
Ride a Cable Car
Ride in an iconic cable car! It’s only $7 for a one-way ticket and totally 100% worth it to feel like Mia Thermopolis from "The Princess Diaries".
What are your favorite, cheap things to do in San Fran?
