Today's DIY is an easy craft you can complete just in time for Halloween! It's also quite festive for the holiday season, regardless of Halloween and could be kept on your shelves until after Thanksgiving.
What You'll Need:
- Decorative faux pumpkins (can be found at most craft stores)
- White acrylic paint and a paintbrush
- Variety of glitter (I bought a dual shaker of gold glitters)
- A good space to paint
First, you'll need to lay out all of your supplies on a paint-and-glitter-safe surface (preferably covered in old newspaper). Begin by painting your pumpkins in the white paint, and spread out the glitter of your choice in a heavy pile that you can dip your pumpkin into. I only wanted half of my pumpkins covered in glitter (the bottom half), but you can coat yours if you wish to.
You can sprinkle extra glitter with the tips of your fingers in order to ensure even distribution in the exact spot you desire. Let them dry overnight, and you're ready to place them wherever you please!
