We often hear a lot about "the most romantic places to go" and quickly notice how all these places are super cliche - Paris, France is the most common, as we all know very well. We've heard it (and said it) a million times, and it's time we stop repeating ourselves. There's other romantic places to travel with your sweetheart and they're about to steal Paris' thunder!
1. THE MALDIVES

The Maldives is a tropical nation in the Indian Ocean where you can spot dolphins and snorkel on coral reefs. Palm trees and year-round sunshine are two traits that make The Maldives a beautiful escape!
2. SANTORINI, GREECE

Oh, Santorini! A gorgeous town within an island. Go for a walk among the town and visit the beloved churches and other architectural monuments. Did you know it's one of the best places in the world for wine, and there's also an active volcano!?
3. VENICE, ITALY

Venice is a beaut. Visit the St. Mark's Basilica church with marble pillars and tons of mosaics, take a gondola ride, watch glass blowing and much more.
4. SAVANNAH, GEORGIA (US)

Savannah, Georgia may not be on everyone's list of the most romantic cities around, but just look at that fountain! Stay in a quaint B&B, stroll through the many beautiful gardens and oak trees and visit the many gastropubs and bars.
5. BIG SUR, CALIFORNIA (US)

Big Sur is a treasure of nature. Simply sitting and enjoying the ripple of the waves would be enough for me, but renting an Airbnb for the night and having breakfast at the Big Sur Bakery is a must. The Point Sur lighthouse is also great.
6. THE ST. REGIS AT BORA BORA

This Tahitian gem is well known: the St. Regis Resort at Bora Bora. The trademark overwater villa encourages swimming and/or snorkeling, and the 3 beaches are just waiting for you to sprawl out and work on your tan.
7. LONDON, ENGLAND

Sip an espresso in a coffee shop, enjoy live jazz, have some bubbly in a champagne bar, even play a variety of games like ping pong or bowling to show off your competitive side! London has so many non-traditional activities to offer.
8. SEATTLE, WASHINGTON (US)

Rainy days bring you two closer together underneath the umbrella, and Seattle's got no shortage of 'em! Get ready to spend time walking the boardwalk, enjoying one of the various museums or visiting the legendary Pike Place Market (along with the very first Starbucks shop... EVER)! This is the closest big city to my hometown and it holds a special place in my heart.
9. VICTORIA, B.C.

Small boutiques, cobblestone streets and gorgeous sceneries are what makes Victoria, B.C. a great romance destination. If you and your honey are foodies, plan your trip for summer to experience their Feast of Fields walking tour and 40-course meal (yup, forty), or Victoria's Festival of Food and Wine featuring 100 selections from Victoria's best vineyards, waters, fields and farms.
10. THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA

The Great Wall of China is EVERYTHING, and who says the trek can't be enjoyed even more with a romantic interest? Over 2,000 years old, this is one of the oldest manmade structures still around today. Don't forget to account for adequate time (at least 2-3 hours) + be sure you don't travel there on weekends or during the summertime or wintertime. Spring or fall weekdays are best!

Witness a sunset during your extravagant (or not-so-extravagant) dinner lit by 100 candles, or simply eat in a cave. Go for high tea, take a helicopter ride or you know, just go find your own Ketut medicine man like Elizabeth Gilbert did.

Walking and hiking are common reasons people visit the Grand Canyon, but sometimes people just stop and view the mountains! Share a mule ride with your sweetie, stop by one of the multiple museums and soak in the beauty.

Perfect for practicing your photography or simply sitting and taking in nature with your honey, this national park is not to be missed.

25. BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA

It may not need to be stated: going to a tango show is a must-do (if not a class), in addition to a variety of other hot & hip activities like having a picnic in the La Costanera Ecological Reserve (if you're a nature fan) and grabbing a drink at one of their most popular bars, Gran Bar Danzon. One of South America's most prestigious museums, the Museo de Bellas Artes is not to be missed either.
