So, you've made a BEAUTIFUL Squarespace site for your biz or blog and now want to make it stand out from all the rest? I gotchu. You can easily spruce up your Squarespace site, girl! These tried and true methods are like music to my ears (eyes?) and I can't wait to share them with you.
DIVE DEEP INTO THE STYLE EDITOR
The Style Editor is your BIBLE of branding within Squarespace, dead serious! In the Style Editor, you can add in your custom brand colors, fonts and so much more. Get fancier and decide how far your logo spans, how tall your hero images appear, hide certain meta data, the list is endless. If you know custom HTML or CSS coding, you can also customize just about anything within the layout of your template!
DESIGN CUSTOM HEADERS & GRAPHICS
Use Photoshop or another photo editing program to create your own customized designs for image graphics, text graphics and text headers using fonts, colors and shapes not available by default within the Squarespace builder. Upload each item as an Image block and get creative with it!
USE CHARTS & GRAPHS
The Chart and Graph blocks on Squarespace add awesome, unique visuals to your blog posts and pages, great if you're trying to prove ROI (Return on Investment) or show your audience demographics to potential brand partners or future audience members.
PIN UP AN ANNOUNCEMENT BAR
Announcement bars are a great tool to leverage when you want people to click through to a CTA (Call-to-Action). Say, you want more sign-ups to your email list (like our announcement bar at the top of the page here) or you want to showcase a new product just launched/new hours just announced - the announcement bar allows you to showcase this memo in just a few words with a LOTTA impact! Never miss the opportunity to convert more people to whichever promotional piece you are pushing. You can access your Announcement Bar by visiting Design > Announcement Bar in your Squarespace menu.
SHOWCASE YOUR INSTAGRAM / SOCIAL
Aside from the all so important social media icon integration that Squarespace offers, you may also opt to include your most recent 5-6 Instagram posts in the footer of your website to always show your audience what you've been up to and what's the latest scoop (in real time). This feature block is also clickable and fully optimized, leading visitors to your Instagram profile in the click of a button!
How did you customize your Squarespace site?
